IPMA Recertification

– When & how?

Why do I need a recertification after 5 years?

Project management is like riding a bicycle. You don’t forget how to do it, but you have to keep up with the developments around you, so as not to make mistakes and get off on the wrong foot.

Dates for recertification

Don’t hesitate to call us for further information.

Recertification dates

Instead of being recertified at your current certification level, you can choose these options as part of the recertification process:

  • You can be recertified at a lower level
  • At A and B level, you can change domains within your current certification level (project management, program management and portfolio management)
  • At C and B level, you can switch from “Certified Project Manager” to “Certified Agile Leader” at the corresponding level or vice versa from “Agile Leader” to “Project Manager” at the corresponding level.

LEVELS OVERVIEW

IPMA Recertification

Your IPMA Certificate must be renewed every 5 years in order for you to continue to call yourself IPMA Certified. By renewing your certificate, you will continue to be presented on IPMA’s and IPMA Denmark’s websites. In addition, you will be continuously informed about developments within the subject. By participating in the recertification, you will refresh the important skills on how to be able to create management value in projects, programs, portfolios or development initiatives. Moreover, you will think through how you can become an even better person to carry out your daily work.

Experience requirements to be recertified

  • At level D there is no specific requirements for experience
  • At level C, you are required to have spent at least 50% of your time managing projects or development activities with a complexity of at least 16 over the past 5 years.
